1474040 Chlorosulphonylbenzaldehyde derivatives SOC D'ETUDES SCIENTIFIQUES ET INDUSTRIELLES DE L'ILE - DEFRANCE 26 Sept 1974 [2 Oct 1973] 52825/75 Divided out of 1474039 Heading C2C The invention comprises compounds having the general formula wherein A is C 1 to C 5 alkyl or C 2 to C 5 alkyenyl. They may be prepared by reacting an acetal of formula with chlorosulphonic acid. The acetal II may be prepared by treating Balicylaldehyde with a suitable alkylating or alkenylating agent, and reacting the resulting 2-(OA)-benzaldehyde with ethyl orthoformate.
