1472861 Workpiece transferring WICKMAN MACHINE TOOL SALES Ltd 30 April 1974 [14 March 1973] 12368/73 Heading B3B On an automatic multi-spindle lathe there is provided a shoot 18 pivotally mounted for movement between a position in which it collects a workpiece or bar end 19 falling from a work station of the lathe and a further position remote from said work station. A bar feed control device is also provided and comprises an arm 16 pivotally mounted on the lathe and swingable to present a finger 17 to act as a feed stop for a bar 20, or for the finger to engage a bar-end which is too short for machining and knock it out of the chuck.
