1471781 Electrophotographic apparatus RICOH KK 11 April 1974 [14 April 1973 (2) 9 May 1973] 16156/74 Heading B2L [Also in Division G2] Silicone oil is transferred from pad 38 to fusing roller 20 by friction-rotated transfer roller 32, which rotates by contact with roller 20, and transfers oil to it, or is braked by pad 38 according to the thickness of the oil layer on roller 20. Departures from uniformity in the thickness of the oil layer on the roller 20 are, in consequence, self-correcting.
