Abstract

1469194 Cover for underground cables H EGGERT 10 Sept 1975 [10 Sept 1974 4 Nov 1974] 37220/75 Heading H2C A covering for conductors laid underground is made from parts of old car tyres cut up and joined together. In Fig. 1 segments 1, 2 of a tyre are joined by rivet 6. End 5 is curved so as to allow for movement between adjacent sections. Other embodiments show ways of dividing the tyre and joining segments so as to form flat or curved coverings.
