Abstract

1469167 Transferring between conveyers D MANTOVANI 7 March 1974 [9 March 1973] 10353/74 Heading B8A Products are transferred from a feed conveyer 1 to compartments 39 of a reception conveyer 38 by means of a device comprising a continuously driven endless belt 3 slidably supporting open ended containers 11 which are held against the return run of the belt by magnetic elements 13-15 and receive products from the conveyer 1, means 16 for intercepting and stopping containers 11 on the belt 3 and releasing them at predetermined intervals, members 36, 37 carried by endless chains and adapted to grip the released containers 11, and pushers 48 carried by endless chains and guided to push products from the containers 11 into the compartments 39. The compartments 39 are slidable on transverse rods (50, Fig. 4) disposed between driven endless chains and carry rollers (54) guided by rails 45, 46 to move the compartments adjacent the containers 11. The pushers 38 are similarly mounted and guided by rails 58, 59. In a second embodiment (Fig. 5) a feed belt (70) is disposed parallel to the belt 3 and carries compartments (71) from which products are pushed into the containers 11 by pushers.
