Abstract

Apparatus for the automatic movement of bar-shaped articles, having a plurality of conveying means in the form of rigid webs (9) which are carried by endless chains (2), in such a way that the conveying means (9) are displaced parallel to themselves along rectilinear portions of the path of movement defined by the chains (2). Along an upward-leading path of movement, the webs (9) can slip in between the rollers (R) of a longitudinal conveyor system for the bar-shaped articles (S1), in order to receive and raise these and then bring them along the downward-directed path of movement between displacement devices (12) and deposit them on the latter, in such a way that the bar-shaped articles can be guided out of the region of the webs (9) and subsequently deposited in compartments of a drying device by the displacement devices.
