1467757 Slip clutches EXCEL CORP 27 June 1975 27206/75 Heading F2C A torque limiting slip clutch for a conveyer roller comprises cylindrical resilient elements 20 compressed between the external periphery 26 of a driving shaft 16 and the internal periphery 24 of a roller shell 10, the external periphery of the shaft or the internal periphery of the shell having a polygonal cross-section. The cylinders 20 may be solid or hollow and may be made of an elastomer (e.g. rubber) or a resilient plastics (e.g. polyester, polyethylene, polypropylene or polystyrene).
