Abstract

1467215 Cushioning impelling tools ROBERT BOSCH GmbH 19 May 1975 [14 Aug 1974] 21342/75 Heading B4C The tool holder 10 of a percussive drill is struck by a member 12 driven by an internal air column by a piston 13 from an electric motor (not shown), a cushioning air space 17 being provided and in which the surrounding cylindrical wall has a groove 18 leading to spaces 16 which allows gradual pressure release in the space 17 on idle blows to prevent rebound in the drill. The passageway relieving the pressure may alternatively vent the cushioning space to atmosphere.
