Abstract

1464455 Ground anchors H SCREEN 15 Aug 1975 [21 Sept 1974] 41212/74 Heading E1B A ground anchor comprises a spiral helical screw 10 with flanges 12, 13 at one end providing a swivel mounting for a device which incorporates at its opposite ends a pressure plate 27 and an eye 28 through which a mooring rope can be threaded, said one end being formed preferably to square section to receive a driving tool for rotation of the screw into and out of the ground. The device comprises two side bars 22 bridged at one end by the pressure plate and at the other by a plate and a pivot 25 on which a rod 24 carrying the eye 28 is pivoted.
