Abstract

1463716 Servomotor systems AEG-KANIS TURBINENFABRIK GmbH 14 June 1974 [15 June 1973] 26532/74 Heading G3P The stroke Y of a piston 2 in a fuel pump is controlled so as to control the speed of a prime mover, by a rotary pump 50 driven by the prime mover, the pump supplying pressure fluid at pressure P1 to a fixed throttle 22 which passes to a space 10 on one side of a diaphragm 12 at a pressure P1', the fluid at pressure P1 also passing via an adjustable throttle 19 to the other side of the diaphragm 17 at a pressure P2, this latter pressure then acting on one side or piston 2 so as to move the piston leftward against a spring 4. The piston also moves against a spring 8 which controls a ball valve 6 which causes a pressure negative feedback in a nozzle bore 13 whose nozzle 16 abuts a plate 14 connected to the diaphragm. An excess pressure valve UV is provided and comprises a spring-urged ball valve 29, 30. An adjustable nozzle 20, is adapted to vary the amount of pressure medium P1' allowed to flow into space 17, so that the cascade pressure P1' can be varied over the setting stoke Y and therefore the through flow through nozzle 19 is varied.
