Abstract

1461514 Spray carburetters K L KNOX 16 April 1974 [28 Dec 1973] 16490/74 Headings F1B and F1H Apparatus for controlling and monitoring a carburetter comprises a manually operable knob 14, 15 for connection to each idle mixture screw 12, 13 of the carburetter, a pressure switch 22 connected to a vacuum hose 21 for connection to the carburetter throat, and a warning signal device, a lamp 16, connected to the pressure switch. The pressure switch 22 and the lamp 16 are connected in series to the vehicle battery via the ignition switch 17, and the knobs 14, 15 are mounted on the dashboard. The knobs 14, 15 are operated to adjust the idle mixture screws 12, 13 to increase the vacuum at the carburetter throat sufficiently to cause the pressure switch 22 to switch off the lamp 16.
