Abstract

146,091. Carr Fastener Co., (Assignees of Carr, F. S.). June 27, 1919, [Convention date]. Press - button fasteners.-The socket of a press-button fastener is provided with a non- circular hole to receive the head of the stud, so that lateral strains cause the neck of the stud to interlock with the narrow parts of the hole to prevent separation of the parts of the fastener. The neck of the stud snaps into engagement with parallel arms of a spring arranged in the socket. The hole 9 in the socket may be of the form shown, and the spring 10 is held in place by bent marginal parts 8 of the socket.
