1459305 Dental implement-holders SIEMENS AG 28 March 1974 [30 March 1973] 13857/74 Heading A5R A dental implement holder 2 comprises implement holders 3-7 mounted side by side on a pivot axis 10 secured to a frame 11 movable into a casing 1, said holders being pivotable on said axis between a horizontal position and a presentational position in which the holders are arranged in a fan-like manner with the angle between each adjacent pair of holders being equal, each holder having in a side wall thereof a slot (16) Fig. 2, (not shown) in which engages a pin (17) secured, in each case, to the side wall of an adjacent holder, said slots and pins effecting the fan-like arrangement on moving holder 7 to its presentational position and causing all of said holders to move into the horizontal postion on moving holder 7 into such a position. The effective slot length can be varied to adjust the relative inclination angle between the holders. In an alternative embodiment, movement of the holders is effected by toothed segments (35) Fig. 3, (not shown), mounted on a common shaft (28) and each meshable with a corresponding toothed segment (34) of each holder, the angle of inclination of each holder being adjustable by moving a pin (41) along said shaft inside a stepped portion (40) in a guide sleeve of each segment (35). A switch (38) is operable on moving an implement (44) Fig. 5, (not shown), out of a holder to activate the drive for said holder. The holder may be provided with a locking button (51) Fig. 6, (not shown), operable to prevent activation of the drive on removing an implement from a holder.
