1453412 Regulating fuel fired liquid heaters C E SMALLING 21 Jan 1975 2488/75 Heading F4B In a fluid heater comprising an elongated horizontal housing with a primary combustion chamber 12, a secondary combustion chamber 14 and a heat exchange section 16, the temperature of the gases sensed at 94 near the outlet of the secondary combustion chamber 14 is used to operate a valve 96 in the supply line of pressure fluid to linked pressure operated valves 38, 40 controlling the primary and secondary air supply to a mixing chamber 24. A secondary air fan 56 supplying air to chamber 14 may be controlled at the same time. A pilot burner supply, controlled by valves 90, 92 is taken from the main fuel supply line, which has a trip valve 86.
