1452893 Fastener driving tools A E H ELLIS 31 Oct 1973 [3 Nov 1972] 50797/72 Heading B3N [Also in Division F2] A driving tool for a security nut, bolt, or screw having a head 10 with a side surface which is a figure of revolution interrupted by a single V recess 14, has a surface of revolution 18 interrupted by a single projection 22 or 32 engageable with the recess 14 of the nut, bolt or screw. In Fig. 3, the tool is a sleeve with a cylindrical bore 18 and a hexagonal outer surface 24, a recess 20 in the bore receiving a key 22 forming the projection. The key may be integral with the tool. In Figs. 7, 8 the projection 32 is on the end face of the tool, and a central boss 30 is engageable with a blind bore (28) (Figs. 5, 6, not shown) in the centre of a screw head.
