Abstract

1,223,900. Screwdrivers. G.K.N. SCREWS & FASTENERS Ltd. 31 July, 1969 [31 July, 1968], No. 36471/68. Heading B3N. [Also in Division F2] In a "clutch head" or tamper-proof screw having abutment surfaces 17 which are drivingly engaged by faces 20 or 22 of a screwdriver bit 19 when rotated in one direction and cam surfaces 17a, 17b which lift the screwdriver bit 19 out of driving engagement with the surfaces when rotated in the opposite direction, a slightly tapered recess 14 is provided in the head of the screw to receive an axially projecting pilot 23 on the screwdriver bit 19.
