Abstract

1451074 Compositions containing bacillopeptidase MEIJI SEIKA KK 29 Aug 1973 [2 Sept 1972] 40739/73 Heading A5B [Also in Division C3] A pharmaceutical composition having antiinflammatory and proteolytic activities showing a marked inhibition rate in an anti-inflammatory test according to the rat-limb edema method when carrageenan is injected as a phlogistic agent comprises in addition to a pharmaceutically acceptable diluent or carrier, an alkaline protease called Bacillopeptidase C which is obtained by cultivating the microbiological strain Bacillus sp. No. 794 (ATCC 21964 or FERM-P No. 1522) or a natural or artificial mutant or variant thereof (see Division C3).
