Abstract

1447725 Valves P LAWS 20 Jan 1975 [25 Feb 1974] 8495/74 Heading F2V One of a sealing pair of members in a valve carries a ring sealing element 3 in an annular groove 4 the radially inner and outer surfaces of which are conical and parallel with the greatest diameter of the inner surface larger than the inner diameter of the sealing element. The sealing element may be carried by a disc 2 to engage on a seat face 1a and the axial length of the disc may be less over the annulus outward of the groove so that the sealing element projects thereof by the distance X.
