Abstract
1445413 Cleaning pads and brushes NIPPON SEAL CO Ltd 6 Sept 1973 [9 Sept 1972] 41956/73 Heading A4F A brush member 8 is supported for use by a casing C, as illustrated in phantom lines in Fig. 4, and after use is inserted into the casing 2 where bristles 8' thereon are engaged and cleaned by bristles 7' on a brush 7 fixed within the casing C, the bristles 7', 8' both being inclined in a direction opposite to the direction of insertion. The brush member 8 is withdrawn from the casing C for use by pulling a flange 12 thereon, and pivoted to its operative position in which a projection 13 on the flange 12 engages a slit in the casing end-wall 5. On repeated insertion of the brush member 8 into the casing C dust collected on the bristles 7' is pushed by the bristles 8' into a collecting space 9 from which it is discharged by opening a pivoted casing cover 3. A detachable handle (17), Fig. 9 (not shown) may be mounted in either of two holders (16) on opposite sides of the casing 2. In a further embodiment the brush member 8 is not pivoted to its operative position but is slid thereto, having pins (10), Fig. 11 (not shown) for engagement in guide grooves (21) in the casing C.
