Abstract
1444683 Reactive dyeing of cellulose and polyamide fibres SANDOZ Ltd 29 Jan 1974 [1 Feb 1973] 04089/74 Heading D1B A non-woven substrate comprising cellulose and/or polyamide staple fibres is produced by dyeing a fibre pulp comprising such fibres with a cold-dyeing reactive dye, the fibres then being formed into a non-woven substrate. Preferably dyeing is effected at 20 to 50‹C in the presence of glauber's salt and soda, viscose being the preferred form of cellulose and wool, silk or synthetic polyamide being used as polyamide staple fibre. The pulp may contain other fibres e.g. wood there being preferably at least 40% cellulose or polyamide fibres present. Binding agents may be used to form the non-woven substrate.
