Abstract

1443563 Ball mills BAKER PERKINS CHEMICAL MACHINERY Ltd 15 Aug 1974 [16 Aug 1973] 38729/73 Heading B2A A rotary ball mill vessel has a trunnion member 2 formed as the driven part of a flexible coupling for the rotary drive of the vessel. The trunnion member 2 is supported by a journal 4 in a bearing 5 on a pedestal 6. Pins 8 of a flexible coupling are set in the trunnion end 7. The driving part is a flanged collar 9 which is driven by a worm reduction gear 11. The collar 9 receives each pin 8 in a respective oversize hole 12 which houses a resilient rubber bush 13.
