Abstract
1442635 Automatic circuit-breakers DORMAN SMITH SWITCHGEAR Ltd 27 Feb 1974 [29 March 1973] 15023/73 Heading H1N A multipole moulded case circuit-breaker has its easing formed with a plurality of channels 12, 13, 14 each accommodating fixed and movable contacts (Fig. 1, not shown) and thermal and/or electromagnetic overload sensing means 17, 19 acting on a common trip bar 28 extending across the channels and associated with all of the sensing means, being pivotable about an axis which extends longitudinally of said bar 28 with a first pair of pivots 32, 34 and 32, 34 spaced inwards from the ends of the bar and a second pair of pivot arrangements at the respective bar ends. Each end pivot arrangement comprises a pivot member 37 adjustable about an axis (provided by a pin 38 on the bar) so that the pivotal axis afforded by pins 40 on the member 37 in slots 41 can be set for alignment of the bar.
