Abstract

1438190 Reciprocating pumps and motors ABEX CORP 2 Aug 1973 [16 Nov 1972] 36832/73 Heading F1A In a swash-plate pump or motor comprising a rotary cylinder block 13 with pistons 16 engaging a swash-plate 19 through slippers 18, a slipper retaining plate 26 is attached to a swash-plate support 22 by a bolt 33 engaging plate 26 via part-spherical member 29 in a part-spherical socket member 28 and a thrust bearing 27, member 28 being held against rotation of projections 31 engaging recesses 32. Bolt 33 is located in support 22 by a nut 36 retaining spring washers 35 via member 34, the assembly permitting limited axial movement of slipper plate 26. Swash-plate support 22 is mounted in an arcuate cradle 23. Block 13 is splined to a drive-shaft and screwed thereto by a bolt 39 acting via spring washers 41.
