Abstract

1437281 Flocculating waste waters HERCULES Inc 17 April 1974 [4 May 1973] 16760/74 Heading C1C [Also in Divisions C3 and E1] High molecular weight, water-soluble poly mers of acrylamide, or acrylamide with at least one other monomer selected from acrylic acid and alkali metal salts thereof, which have intrinsic viscosities of more than 30 dl./g. in 2N sodium chloride at 25À5‹ C. and Huggins constants of not more than 0À4, are used to flocculate sewage (dewatering and thickening) and in Example 14 as flocculating agents for aluminium phosphate slurries.
