Abstract

1435402 Packaging articles in groups; conveyers INDAG GES FUR INDUSTRIEBEDARF mbH 1 Feb 1974 [30 March 1973] 04770/74 Headings B8C and B8A A method of feeding a group of articles of rhomboidal cross-section into a container 40 comprises feeding successive articles in a set orientation into a chamber 13 of a table 12 rotatable about a vertical axis, and moving the container 40 on a conveyer 20 beneath a discharge station to receive the group of articles formed in the chamber. The articles may be bags containing liquids. A pair of conveyer belts 26, 27, with belt 26 moving faster than belt 27 feed the bags into the chamber such that the orientation of the bags are changed to permit close nesting. There may be two discharge stations 38, 39 arranged so that two rows of bags are positioned side-by-side in each container.
