Abstract

1434047 Alarm clocks JAZ SA 25 July 1973 [28 July 1972] 35515/73 Heading G3T [Also in Division H 1] When protrusions 18a-c, which are provided at different radii on the face of an alarm setting wheel 12, enter respective apertures in an hour wheel 8, they engage respective projections 23a-c of an insulating member 24, Fig. 3, which is thus moved axially so as to cause a contact 28 on a resilient strip 27 to complete an electrical circuit to operate the alarm. Hour wheel 8 is rotated by the movement via a pinion 11, and alarm wheel 12, which is acted on by a spring 21, is set manually by a knob 17. When projections 23a-c move clear of projections 18a-c, member 24 moves back and the alarm stops. Ramp portions (34), Fig. 2 (not shown) of the portions 18a-c then ride up edges of the apertures in wheel 8 until wheel 12 returns to its original axial position.
