Abstract

1,027,767. Alarm clocks. JAZ S.A. Oct. 30, 1963 [Nov. 2,1962], No. 42838/63. Heading G3T. An electric alarm clock gives repeated signals over the alarm period. A control rod 1, Fig 3 (not shown) moves axially under a spring 15 on release by the usual hour wheel and setting cam device. The rod is rotatable and carries two arms 2, 3 of which one arm, 2, engages a time driven cam 4, the other arm 3 engaging a series of fixed contacts 6 in the alarm circuit whereby the signals are given. The cam 4 has spiral grooves in which the end of arm 2 can engage and be driven radially outwardly thereby. A disabling electric switch 18 may be replaced by the mechanical disabling device of Fig. 6 (not shown) which comprises a manually operated member 23 movable into the path of the arm 2. The contacts are carried by a supporting insulator 5.
