Abstract

1432747 Bucket excavators; dozers INTERNATIONAL HARVESTER CO 22 March 1974 [29 March 1973] 12844/74 Heading E1F An earth working assembly comprises a vehicle 1, a vertically swingable boom 2 pivoted at one end on the vehicle and having at the other end means for permitting of the adjustable and removable mounting of an implement, e.g. a scoop or grader blade 12, thereon, a rocker arm 4 mounted on the boom for controlling the adjustment of the implement relative to the boom when it is mounted on the boom, and a backhoe 18 mountable on the rocker arm. Preferably the rocker arm is provided with locking pins 13, 14 and the backhoe includes a swing mechanism 17 provided with locking recesses 15, 16, which cooperate with the pins 13, 14 to mount the backhoe on the rocker arm. At least one of the locking recesses is associated with an arresting shackle 22 to retain a locking pin in the recess. The implement is provided with one or more support plates 12 which can be positioned to face downwardly to engage the ground and give additional stability to the vehicle when required.
