Abstract

1430359 Steam and spray irons ROWENTA-WERKE GmbH 1 Aug 1974 [3 Sept 1973] 34053/74 Heading D1A In an electric iron with a water sprayer 9, a drip feed steam generator and a "shot of steam" facility, the two pumps for the sprayer and "shot of steam" are combined in a single housing 6 with a common intake 55 and two outlets 45, 56. As shown operation of a push button 28 draws water from a reservoir 2 through the intake 55 and a chamber 51 and delivers it through the outlet 45 to the sprayer 9 and operation of a push button 29 draws water from the chamber 51 and delivers it through a pipe 16 and spraying nozzle 15 to a steam generating chamber 13. Drip feed to the main steam generating chamber 12 is controlled by a valve 11. The housing 6 comprises two or three (as shown) portions 31, 20, 32 secured together by a rivet 33 or bolt.
