Abstract

1430148 Mooring dredgers MITSUI SHIPBUILDING & ENG CO Ltd 18 May 1973 [26 May 1972] 23841/73 Heading B7S [Also in Division F2] A dredger is secured to the sea bed by a spud 1 which penetrates slidably through spud keeper 4 mounted in cavity 3 in the dredger. A plurality of hydraulic or pneumatic rams 5 arranged in opposed pairs are each connected between the spud keeper and the dredger to restrain or prevent relative movement between them. A gas accumulator 13 is connected in common to all the rams such that fluid expelled from one or more rams increases the fluid pressure in the remaining ram or rams.
