Abstract
1429310 Condiment grinders PARK GREEN & CO LTD 25 April 1973 [28 April 1972 1 Jan 1973] 19855/72 and 23/73 Heading B2A A pepper/salt mill comprises a cap 14 a stem 13 and a base 15, a female tool 12 and a male tool 11. In one embodiment Fig. 1 the female tool 12 is secured to a one piece base and stem, and the male tool is rotated by rotation of the head via a shaft 18. In a second embodiment Fig. 2, the mill is used upside down and the male tool is rotated by turning the base and stem. In a third embodiment the base 15 Fig. 3 is turned. In each case the shaft 18 is keyed into a square hole 21 in a plastics adaptor 16 which is glued and/or screwed into the cap stem or base respectively. In each case the female tool 12 has a double frusto conical internal surface each bay making an angle of 10‹ to the axis. The male tool 11 is a cone making an angle of 15‹ to the axis. The tools have fine opposite head helical grinding teeth 33, 34, and above these helically opposite hand curved grooves 35, 36. The tools may be injection moulded plastics or cast or machined metal e.g. stainless steel. The male tool may have five helical grooves 43 Fig. 5. The female tool has an upper half cone angle of 28‹ with wide-pitched teeth 45, and the lower part a half cone angle of 10‹ and fine teeth 47 Fig. 8.
