Abstract

1429233 Package cradle RHONE-POULENC-TEXTILE 22 June 1973 [26 June 1972] 29880/73 Heading D1J A bobbin cradle of the kind comprising a pair of arms 7, 8 pivotal about a common axis and between which there can be supported a yarn receiving member 3, is characterized in that the arms 7, 8 are capable of relative angular resilient displacement about said axis. In Fig. 1 a torsion bar 9 interconnects the two arms 7, 8 the torsion bar 9 permitting the arms 7, 8 to be displaced angularly and resiliently relative to each other. The arms 7, 8 carry bearings 12,13 in which pins 14, 15 slide each pin being equipped with devices that grip the yarn receiving member 3 at its ends. In Fig. 2 a weight acting on the cord 17 rocks the cradle anti-clockwise about the bar 9 to biass the yarn receiving member 3 against a drive cylinder 1. Two damping devices, such as at 21, are mounted, are mounted one at each of the arms 7 and 8.
