Abstract

1428866 Windscreen wipers SWFSPEZIALFABRIK FUR AUTOZUBEHOER GUSTAV RAU GmbH 26 June 1974 [6 Oct 1973] 28304/74 Heading A4F A windscreen or other wiper blade assembly comprises a wiper blade 30, having at least one inserted spring strip 20, and mounted in a onepiece support member formed as an elongated resilient curved yoke 10 having longitudinally spaced projections 11 provided with slots 12 opening towards one end of the yoke, the projections 11 being engaged in slot-like apertures 21 in the spring strip or strips 20 aligned with recesses 31 in the wiper blade 30, the spring strip or strips 20 being engaged in the slots 12 of the projections 11 by relative longitudinal displacement of the yoke 10 and the blade 30. In the illustrated embodiment a lug 16 at one end of the yoke 10 limits the relative longitudinal displacement, whilst at the opposite end, a projection 13 Fig. 2, (not shown) fits into an aperture 22 in the single spring strip 20 formed with a slot 23 to receive the wiper blade 30. The yoke 10 is formed with flanges 14 between which extends a pivot pin 15 for the connection of a wiper arm.
