Abstract

1428675 End anchorage devices STRESSED CONCRETE DESIGN Ltd 2 May 1973 [11 May 1972] 22251/72 Heading E1W A distribution member 1 of an end anchorage for reinforcement cables 6 has a central passage for accommodating the cables and is provided with a plurality of shoulders 5, at or adjacent one end, distributed around and extending towards the longitudinal axis of the passage. The shoulders 5 define channels 5a in which may be accommodated cables 6. The shoulders 5 provide a greater bearing surface and a lesser span for a bearing plate 7 through apertures of which the cables are anchored. The element may be formed of cast iron and be of frusto conical form.
