Abstract

1425967 Walls P DISERENS 29 June 1973 [11 July 1972] 31099/73 Heading E1W A thermally insulating wall panel comprises a frame formed by parallel stiles 1, 2 and crossbars 7, with metal sheets 8, 9 on opposite sides of the frame having opposite edges hooked onto the stiles 1, 2, and expanded polyurethane foam between the sheets. The edges of the sheets enter grooves 14, 15, 16, 17 in the stiles 1, 2. Stiles 1, 2 are of PVC, or reinforced polyester and cross-bars 7 are of wood. Strips 19, 20 of PVC are secured by adhesive in grooves 14-17 to attach adjacent panels edge to edge, and strips may be secured in lateral grooves 21-24 to attach adjacent stiles side by side to make thicker panels.
