Abstract

1424132 Fixing toner images XEROX CORP 25 Jan 1973 [28 Jan 1972] 3791/73 Heading G2H Toner particles are removed from a heatable fixing roller 16 by rotating pressure contact with one or more cleaning rollers 70, 71, each consisting of a core, a layer of deformable thermally-insulating material and a surface layer of toner material to which the toner particles adhere. Preferably the deformable thermally-insulating layer is a sleeve of a copolymer of metaphenylene diamine and isophthaloyl chloride, is applied in tubular form or made by braiding or by wrapping in spiral form, and is held by an adhesive.
