1422579 Razors AM SERIO 14 Feb 1973 [22 Feb 1972 (2) 1 March 1972] 7294/73 Heading B4B A razor comprises a handle 1 pivotably connected to a blade support member 6, a blade 3 mounted on the support member and secured by a cover 5 which is pivotably attached to the support member and held in the blade retaining position by a clip 2 slidably mounted on the support member. The blade 3 is provided with holes 3a for location on pins 4 in the support member 6. The cover 5 is formed with a lug 5d for engagement by the clip 2 and on its side facing the blade, with grooves (5a, 5b, 5c), Fig. 3 (not shown), for clearing the pins during a pivot ing movement; the pivot pin may be replaced by a hinge. The cover may be formed with slots (5e) Figs. 4, 5, 6 (not shown) adjacent the cutting edge thereby providing a safety-type razor. The edges of the support member and the cover adjacent the cutting edge of the blade may be serrated thereby permitting long-hair trimming.
