Abstract

1421863 Electrography XEROX CORP 14 March 1973 [16 March 1972] 12383/73 Heading G2H The atmosphere in the viscinity of the nip between a fuser roller 34 and a pressure roller 36 of a fuser assembly is removed through a manifold assembly 30 the inlet orifice 48 of which is an elongated slot of approximately the same length as the length of the nip between the rollers 34, 36. A coupling 40 connects the manifold assembly 30 with a suction fan.
