1419329 Chains A & H JONES & CO Ltd 25 March 1974 [4 April 1973] 16049/73 Heading F2Q In a universal joint 10 connecting two pairs of links 11, 12 of a conveyer chain, a pin 13 is journalled in the bight portion of a U-shaped member 15, a pin 14 is journalled in a part cylindrical sleeve 21 of C-section which extends transversely of and through the limbs 17 of the U, and incorrect assembly of the joint, as shown in Fig. 2, is prevented by projections 20 formed on the edges of the limbs 17. Alternatively, at least one of the conveyer links may be provided with a projection which prohibits incorrect assembly of the joint.
