Abstract

1418956 Vehicle wheels BRITISH LEYLAND UK Ltd 9 May 1974 [10 May 1973] 22273/73 Heading B7C A vehicle wheel comprises a rim unit 1 including a tyre bead retaining flange 2 and a frustoconical attachment flange 3, and a disc unit 6 having a second tyre bead retaining flange 11 and a frusto-conical portion 9 against which the attachment flange 3 is releasably secured by bolts 12. Reduced diameter portion 13 of the rim unit provides a seat for a tyre bead 14 which is of smaller diameter than the other tyre bead 15. The frusto-conical flange 3 and portion 9 make an angle of approximately 45 degrees with the wheel axis.
