1513780 Tyre/wheel rim assembly CONTINENTAL GUMMI-WERKE AG 12 Aug 1975 [12 Aug 1974] 33635/75 Heading B7C A pneumatic tyre and wheel rim assembly comprises a rim 3 having bead retaining flanges, each having a radially inner part 32 inclined at an angle a to a circumferential plane and a radially outer part 33 inclined at a greater angle # to that plane. Preferably 5‹ # α # 20‹, and 40‹ # # # 70‹, and the bead seats are each inclined at an angle γ to the wheel axis, 10‹ # γ # 20‹. The diameter of the junction of the parts 33, 32 of each flange is preferably equal to the mean diameter of the bead cores, and the maximum diameters of the bead cores and of the flanges are preferably equal.
