Abstract

1417383 Mixing fluids in controlled proportions ALBACH & CO 21 June 1974 [22 June 1973] 27633/74 Heading B1C Apparatus for mixing foam forming liquid and water in constant proportion comprises a pump 2 drawing water from a container I and having a recirculation duct 20 in which is a jet pump 10 which induces foaming agent from a container 8 through a flow control valve 12. The valve is actuated by a float 4 in a conical portion 13 of the foam discharge line through a lever 15 which has a movable fulcrum 16 whereby the proportions of the constituents may be altered. In another embodiment (Figs. 2 and 3, not shown) the valve is rigidly connected to the float by a rod (5) and the proportions of the constituents are altered by rotating a sleeve (11) in which the valve member slides to adjust the size of the inlet port (25) thereto.
