Abstract

1417373 Reciprocating conveyers PREROVSKE STROJIRNY NARODNI PODNIK 25 Feb 1974 8446/74 Heading B8A Articles 2 supported at their sides by fixed elongate members 1 are conveyed step-by-step by rack-like members 4, 5 which are reciprocated longitudinally; member 5 also has a vertical movement. Operation of a crank drive 6 from the position shown in Fig. 1 causes the member 5 to be raised while engaging stop 7, the articles 2 being lifted and the member 4 moving to the left. Upon moving member 4 to the right the member 5, still raised, conveys the articles to the right until member 5 engages stop 8. As the member 4 completes its movement to the right, member 5 is lowered and the articles are lowered on to the members 1, the members 4, 5, re-engaged as in Fig. 1, returning to the original position to the left. A base 3 may have a roller track for the member 4 or the member may slide on the base. In Fig. 5 there are three pairs of movable members 4, 5, with additional fixed members 1. In an embodiment for operation at temperatures above 1000‹ C., Fig. 6, the movable members 4, 5 each consist of ceramic elements and member 4 is actuated by a mechanical or hydraulic pusher 9 at each of its ends.
