1415479 Endless chain bucket conveyers W REINERS VERWALTUNGS GmbH 7 Feb 1974 [10 Feb 1973] 05606/74 Heading B8A [Also in Divisions D1-D2] A mobile container for the reception, storage and transportation between production and process stages, of yarn packages comprises in its interior an elevator circulating on an endless loop path whereby packages may be transferred to and from a loading and unloading position within the container. As shown in Fig. 1, a container 1 supported on pivotable and/or rigid rollers 9 and 10 houses an elevator comprising troughs or package carrier grids of basket form 22 articulatedly suspended between endless carrier chains 21 and 21<SP>1</SP> which run around pairs of aligned chain wheels 16, 16<SP>1</SP>, 17, 17<SP>1</SP>, 18, 18<SP>1</SP>, 19, 191 and 20, 20<SP>1</SP>, on opposite sides of the container. Stabilizing chains 23, 23<SP>1</SP>, formed by interconnecting links 24 with joint pins 25 and 26, each bear laterally against guide rails 27, 27<SP>1</SP>, or 28, 28<SP>1</SP>. Discs 29 (secured to the troughs formed by rods 34, 34<SP>1</SP>, 34<SP>11</SP>) are eccentrically suspended on pins 26 which also connect with chains 21 and 21<SP>1</SP> and suspend carrier straps 30 of the troughs, Figs. 3 and 4. In a loading operation, Fig. 5, the container cooperates with a device 33 whereby packages 37 delivered, e.g. manually, continuously or at irregular intervals at the beginning of the upper run of an endless belt 36 are transported by engaging members 38 to container 1: each time a package arrives at the position 38, a switch 39 is operated and belt 36 is stepped further by one interval 41 by a motor 40: if conveyer belt is filled so that a package 37 has arrived at position of member 38<SP>11</SP>, a switch 42 starts up motor 43 which, through crank 74, crank rod 75, lever 76, rod 77, lever 78 and rod 79, operates tilting levers 43, 45 and 46 so that members 38 facing the container 1 are tilted and their packages 37 fall into a trough 22, whereafter motor 47 moves the elevator one trough interval. As shown in Fig. 6, container is coupled to device 33 by pawls 48 engaging in bolts 49, whereupon a switch (not shown) interconnected with a registering stop 52 actuates the elevator drive, effected from motor 47 through wheel 58, chain 59, chain wheel 60 and toothed wheel 61 now in operative engagement with chain driving wheel 53 in the container, until a trough 22 actuates switch 50 at its correct level for loading. An unloading device, Figs. 7 and 8 (not shown) operates similarly but with reversed transfer of packages and each trough in turn stops at the unloading position, is tilted, by motor operated mechanism comprising a draw rod, cam lever, bell crank and response lever and a sliding gripper rod, so that the packages therein fall into an engaging member 38.
