Abstract
141,463. Kruse, J. S. Feb. 21, 1919. Top-boots; linings.-An inner boot for wear inside another boot of ordinary construction, or of the construction described in Specifications 16676/15 and 140,845, is constructed so that the upper and sole may be wholly or partly separated to enable the inside of the boot to be dried. In one form, Fig. 2, the upper c is attached to the sole a at the toe only, and from that point heelwards the upper is enclosed within a piece b of material secured to the sole and provided with ankle and instep straps d, f. In another construction, Fig. 4, a piece b of material is secured to the lower edge of the upper and is drawn under the sole by a cross-over lace g enclosed in a hem h. In a still further construction, Fig. 5, a piece b of material is secured to the upper at the toe and extends under the sole a and around the heel, as . shown, being kept in place by an instep band j. The upper and sole may be of quilted material containing kapok or other material of a non-absorbent character.
