Abstract

1414547 Component assemblies SIEMENS AG 26 March 1973 [24 March 1972] 14495/73 Heading H1R In an assembly frame 1 a row of electronic sub-assemblies 2 having respective collinearly arranged edges 3 are retained with respect to the frame by a locking member 6a which can be attached to the frame 1 and which is provided with an elongate resilient member 12, the arrangement being such that, in use, Fig. 2, the resilient member 12 extends longitudinally along and is deformed by each of the respective edges 3 so that the edges are embedded in the resilient member 12. As shown the locking member 6a has a longitudinal reinforcing rib projection 9 extending into a slot 10 in the frame 1 and is connected to the frame, Fig. 3a, by screws 7a at each end. The screws 7a have two threaded portions 7d, 7e separated by a smaller diameter unthreaded portion 7c and engage a nut 17 within the cavity formed by slot 10 such that upon disengagement of nut 17 from threaded portion 7c the locking member 6a, while still retained in slot 10 as shown in Fig. 3a, tilts downwards sufficiently to allow removal of subassemblies 2. The elongate resilient element 12 may be formed of foam material and may have a sector-shaped, rectangular or triangular crosssection. Inscription strips may be disposed on faces 14 or 15 of the locking member 6a.
