1413831 Silylated prostatrienoates SYNTEX CORP 1 Dec 1972 [3 Dec 1971 14 Nov 1972] 55713/72 Heading C3S [Also in Division C2] Racemic methyl 9α,11α-bis-(trimethylsilyloxy) - 15# - hydroxy - 15# - methylprosta- 4,5,13 - trans - trienoate is prepared by reacting methyl lithium with racemic methyl 9α,11α - bis - (trimethylsilyloxy) - 15 - oxoprosta - 4,5,13 - trans - trienoate, resulting from the treatment of racemic methyl 9α,11α- dihydroxy - 15 - oxoprosta - 4,5,13 - transtrienoate with hexamethyldisilazane and trimethylchlorosilane. By a similar procedure 1 racemic methyl 9-trimethylsilyloxyimino- 11α - trimethylsilyloxy - 15# - hydroxy - 15#- methylprota - 4,5,13 - trans - trienoate, and racemic methyl 9-trimethylsilyloxyimino-11α- trimethylsilyloxy - 15 - oxoprosta - 4,5,13- trans-trienoate are obtained.
