1412982 Pump parts of alloy steel ABEX CORP 10 Oct 1972 [10 Nov 1971] 46721/72 Heading C7A [Also in Divisions Fl and F2] A machine having at least one part that slides over another part in operation of the machine the movement being lubricated one or both of said parts is cast from an alloy comprising The parts may be produced by centrifugal casting of the alloy of the invention, annealing, rough machining, heat treatment at 760‹C for 20 minutes in a controlled atmosphere furnace, heating to 1010 to 1038‹C for at least 30 minutes, quenching into oil at 49 to 66‹C and double tempering at 552 to 580‹C for 2 hours per temper. The parts may be in the form of valve spools, poppets, pistons or a swash plate for use in an axial piston pump or a cam ring and vanes for use in a vane pump.
