1410988 Rotary fluid motors GEWERKSCHAFT EISENHUTTE WESTFALIA 7 Dec 1972 [9 Dec 1971] 56528/72 Heading F1F A rotary air motor comprises an injection moulded synthetic plastics housing 1 in which is located a cylindrical insert 10 fabricated of ceramic material or sintered steel and non- rotatively held within housing 1 by grooves 31 which receive ribs on the interior of the housing, and two annular sintered steel disc elements 6, the insert 10 and elements 6 being compressively held together by a resilient O-ring 24 sandwiched between one disc element 6 and a removable injection moulded synthetic plastics cover 21, and the insert 10 and elements 6 forming a chamber 8 in which is located a synthetic plastics vane-type rotor 16 having a stub shaft 13 and output shaft 17 supported in bearings 5 located in sockets moulded in end-wall 4 and cover 21. The interior of the insert may be treated with a molybdenum disulphite based lubricant, the vanes 20 being made of synthetic plastics. To assemble the motor, the inner bearing 5, inner plate 6 and insert 10 are located in housing 1, the motor 16 with its vanes being thereafter inserted before the cover 21 with the outer disc 6, O-ring 24, outer bearing 5 and shaft seal 22 is placed over shaft 17 and secured by screws 25 to housing 1.
