Abstract

1410095 Hot-water boilers BEONDU AG 22 May 1973 [23 May 1972] 24339/73 Heading F4A A boiler is assembled from a plurality of cast elements, two elements 3, 4 forming a fire duct 5 enclosed by two parallel water ducts 6, 7 which are formed by two further elements 1, 2, the elements being cast to provide transverse baffles 12 defining labyrinthine paths in the water ducts, and with finger-like extensions projecting from opposed walls of the fire duct in a combustion zone 9 and pyramid-like projections on said walls in a flame zone 8. The extensions 11, 11<SP>1</SP> meet in the centre of the fire duct; they are diamond-shaped in cross-section and arranged in staggered rows. The boiler is in particular a gas-fired central heating boiler, and the elements 1-4 are of a light metal such as an alluminium alloy.
